He has done it!!!!!!

Neeraj Chopra has won GOLD in javelin throw at Tokyo.

Although many in India believed he had it in him to be the best in the world, the commentators at Tokyo called him a surprise winner.

But there was no surprise in his throws. He threw the javelin 87.58m in his second attempt and stunned the world.

A new star has arrived.

Neeraj became only the second Indian after Abhinav Bindra (shooting, 2008 Beijing) to win an individual gold medal.
