The consecration ceremony of Ram Lalla at the magnificent new Ram Mandir at Ayodhya was performed with due pomp on Monday. Prime Minister Modi, along with UP Governor Anandiben Patel, UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath, RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat and Mahant Nrityagopal Das, president of Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, performed the rituals before a select gathering of 8000 guests drawn from India and abroad and comprising heads of religious organizations, politicians, business tycoons, film actors, sportspersons and others invited by the Trust. This provided closure to one of the most vexed and prolonged religious dispute in Independent India between the Hindus and the Muslims. It was also a milestone in Indian history.

In his speech after the ceremony, Prime Minister Modi stressed on the fact the time now was for vinay (humility)as much as vijay (victory) and said that Lord Ram did not represent fire (aag) or vivaad (dispute) but provided energy (urja) and solution (samadhan). He also said that Lord Ram did not belong only to Hindus but to all Indians. Saying that it was the beginning of a new cycle of time, the Prime Minister said that it will lead to a new India as the "nation is writing new history".

Renaissance, revival or reclaiming - call it by whatever name, is good only if it fits in with present realities.  If Ram Rajya is to be ushered in truly, sabka saath, sabka vikaas, sabka vishwas needs to be implemented strictly. India is a land of many faiths with Hindus in overwhelming majority. The urja of Lord Ram must guide all Indians to build a nation that does not discriminate between its citizens on the basis of caste, creed, religion or region. Only then will we win sabka vishwas and get sabka prayas for nation building. If that is the solution Lord Ram provides from his new home, India will definitely enter Amrit Kaal
