Banning Hijab Not Unconstitutional, Says Karnataka HC
The full bench of the Karnataka High Court has ruled that wearing hijab is not an essential religious practice under the Islamic faith. It has also ruled that prescription of uniform is a reasonable restriction on fundamental rights under Article 25. Hence, it said, it finds no reason to invalidate the Karnataka government order banning wearing of clothes likely to cause law and order problems in schools and colleges.By admin
