People are saying that throughout the last two years, Amul has used the pandemic to come out with excellent topical ads. They are talking about its latest ad which combines the message of opening up of vaccination for kids in the 12 to 14 age group and the need to take a vacation (after two years of closeted life) as schools will close for summer vacations soon by issuing an ad which says "Pehle Vaccination, Phir Vacation" (first vaccination, then vacation).

People say Amul always uses current affairs issues to come up with topical ads but its ads during the pandemic were very good. They remember its ads on washing hands (better saaf than sorry) or the opening up of vaccination for all adults (shot in the aam janta) and the one targeted at those above eighteen (no waiteen' if you are eighteen) that exhorted people to maintain hygiene and take the jab.

They say its new ad is timely as vacations will start soon and many parents will use the opportunity to take their kids out after two years. But with Covid cases spurting in several countries and with vaccines now available for children above 12, it is absolutely necessary that the kids are vaccinated before they go to crowded vacation spots as vaccines still remain our best defence against the virus.

People say that parents will do well to follow the Amul advice and get their children vaccinated before taking them on vacations.
