The best thing going for Thoda Adjust Please (Eros Now) is that it is not preachy and as the tagline calls it a quickie, it keeps matters short and crisp, thereby holding viewer interest. There are only 10 episodes and each is only of 20 minutes duration.
A struggling actor Jai and an NGO worker Isha are in a live-in relationship. They live in a rented and biggish Mumbai flat. When they are not able to bear the rent, they seek to let out their hall. Gauri and Radhe land up from Benaras as their new 'tenants' and it is then that things start getting awry.
Gauri is an artist who wants to work in the film industry but encounters the casting couch. Radhe, on the other hand, does not know what he wants to do but has been sent only to keep an eye on Gauri. The interactions between the four throw up some hilarious situations. Radhe, a small-town boy who looks stupid but gives good ideas, is instrumental in many of these.
The story takes a melodramatic turn when Jai's father fixes his marriage with a girl who was his schoolmate. When Jai fails to tell Isha that he is going to meet her, Isha threatens to leave him. The rest of the story is how Gauri and Radhe cook up an 'event' to bring them back together.
Rohan Khurana plays Jai in a predictable way but Malhaar Rathod brings Isha to life. Her expressions are good and she displays a good range. Anchal Sharma as Gauri is passable as Gauri. It is Gandharv Dewan who steals the show as Radhe. His comic timing and facial expressions are excellent. Writer Vibha Singh weaves a taut tale while director Archit Kumar makes it sure that viewer interest does not flag. Thoda Adjust Please is a show that will entertain you and bring a smile to your face.
