People are talking about how the inexperienced bowlers of India bowled out the mighty Australians twice on a good batting track at Brisbane to keep India in the match. People say that India's bench strength is amazing and the youngsters have it in them to compete at the highest level if given an opportunity.

People are impressed with the performance of Mohammed Siraj, Shardul Thakur, Navdeep Saini and Washington Sundar. It was a complete mismatch, people say, when a bowling attack with the combined experience of a few Tests was pitted against the likes of Steve Smith, David Warner and company. Everyone expected Australia to run away to a huge score and win the match. But, people say, that if India is still in the match, it is thanks only to this bowling unit.

People say that Thakur and Sundar also showed they are no minnows with the bat by stitching together a record-breaking 123 runs 7th wicket partnership that ensured that Australia did not get a sizeable first innings lead. Back in the second innings, Siraj and Thakur took 9 wickets between them to ensure that India still had a fighting chance to win the match.

These youngsters have shown that they can put their hands up and be counted if the seniors are not available to do national duty. They have also shown that they lack neither the skill nor the temperament required to succeed at the highest level. People say that whatever be the result of the match, India has already won as it has discovered hidden gems in its squad.
